Discover the ancient craft of Ghanaian pottery on this hands-on workshop experience. Meet skilled local artisans who have practised pottery for generations, learn the techniques behind traditional Ghanaian ceramics, and create your own piece to take home as a unique souvenir. Your experience begins with a hotel pickup and transfer to the pottery studio or workshop. On arrival, you'll receive an introduction to Ghanaian pottery traditions — the history, the materials, and the cultural significance of different shapes and patterns. Watch as the master potter demonstrates the techniques used to shape clay on a wheel or by hand. Then it's your turn. With guidance from the artisan, you'll work with locally sourced clay to shape your own pot, bowl, or decorative piece. Learn to centre the clay, pull up the walls, and add decorative touches. Where available, you'll also have the opportunity to paint or glaze your finished piece. The experience concludes with a comfortable transfer back to your hotel. Your finished piece can be collected or shipped depending on the workshop partner's arrangements.
A carefully planned day — every stop, guide, and entry ticket handled for you.
